On January 3, 2023, between 13:20 and 23:25 (UTC), the Connectivity API (CAPI) product experienced an outage, which resulted in the service being unavailable during this time. The incident was caused by an architectural issue preventing the CAPI service being unable to accept incoming HTTP requests from third-party services. We have held a post-mortem during which we learnt more about this incident. We now know how and why it happened, and we also know how to avoid making the same mistake in the future again.
